Who can be nominated for the Emerging Leaders Award?
Any active selling travel advisor or agency owner who is 45 years old or younger, has at least 2 years of industry experience, and is a member (or works for a member agency) of ASTA.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes! Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged. You know your achievements best—this is your time to shine.
Do I need to have a Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) certification to qualify?
No, VTA certification is not required, but it is strongly encouraged and will strengthen your application.
How many recipients will be selected?
There’s no set number. This award is all about recognizing truly standout professionals. If you receive the Emerging Leaders Award, it’s because the selection team genuinely sees you as someone making a big impact and shaping the future of the travel industry.
What does the selection process involve?
After nominations close, a selection committee made up of ASTA, Travefy, and industry leaders will review applications based on the published selection criteria. Honorees will be notified in October.
